Treat your guests to a truly memorable trip on La Bohème, a classic bridge-deck cruiser built in 1931 by Van der Meer & Zonen in Oude Wetering. Experience the calm and beauty of a river tour on La Bohème, cruising down the charming, tree-lined Vecht or the expansive Amstel, with a new surprise in the landscape behind every curve.
The boat is a floating monument. With her bold, angular lines and the gentle curves so typical of the Art Deco style, she exudes the atmosphere of the interbellum period in which she was built. The advances in marine technology that came with the industrial revolution were ultimately applied for pleasure craft. Bridge-deck cruisers like this one were among the very first kinds of motor yachts.
La Bohème is a sturdy ship with a plumb bow and a high, closed foredeck: the bridge deck. Below the bridge deck you will find a toilet, the galley and the saloon. Aft of the saloon is an open cockpit that can easily be closed off with a sun tent if necessary. Fully restored with respect for her original beauty, she has been outfitted with modern conveniences such as a marine telephone, a depth gauge, a new and cleaner motor and a heating system to make your trip more enjoyable.
